MÄRTINI BRÖS FEAT. FLORIAN SCHIRMACHER :: Communicate EP
Liebe Detail spezial 11 (12") :: Release Date: 07.07.09

a1 :: communicate
a2 :: communicate (dub)
b1 :: communicate (matthias meyer & patlac remix)
b2 :: communicate (gruber & nürnberg remix)

You’ll believe us if we tell you this project has been in the pipeline for quite some time… kept secret until now, this very special summer-vibed track is ready for release. Featuring the expert production skills of Berlin’s original Märtini Brös. and the in-demand vocal talents of Florian Schirmacher.

a1: communicate

is a pretty little ditty indeed. A calming story driven down the often fast-paced road of house music, from a Berlin open air to a lazy day in Hamburg, its reduced arrangement, touching melodies and stiring vocals leave us needing more. Florian’s vocal performance is wonderful, a totally smooth, unpretentious story teller who has enjoyed a busy and varied musical career. Indeed so have the ‘Brös, and we’re tempted to say this is one of the most exciting collaborations they’ve produced to date!

a2: communicate (dub)
Following the main cut, a dub version is provided, allowing the straight-forward crisp beats and wonderful spaced out synth motifs to shine. A great dj tool, its another example of expert producer-arrangers at work…

b1: communicate (matthias meyer & patlac remix)
On the flip liebe*detail’s Matthias Meyer provides an energetic, driving remix. Fitting well with his current hybrid house sound, Meyer injects a shuffling, textural ensemble of shakers and rolling percussion into this pacy synth-led jam. Splitting the original down to its bare parts and only using snippets of the original vocal, its a heads-down mix for the clubs.

b2: communicate (gruber & nürnberg remix)
One more lovely remix is included too, as Gruber & Nürnberg (from 8bit, Drumpoet and more) provide a functional vocal remix that steps up the energy and translates the original’s vibe into their now trademark bouncing tech-house language. A dramatic break greets us in the mid section, ensuring total club-beach party reactions!

Poker Flat (12") :: Release Date: 11.07

a1 :: from buleaux
a2 :: towards buleaux
b1 :: from buleaux (konrad black remix)

The Brös are back on Poker Flat with their new single "From Buleaux" including a brilliant Konrad Black remix.
"From Buleaux" is a cool, snappy track with a nice bassy synth-line from below. as there are always two camps, one loves vocal songs, the other loves pure instrumental tracks, the a-side includes both, "Towards Buleaux", non-vocal version for purists out there and "From Buleaux", the vocal peppered song format. your choice.

On the b.side, Canadian citizen of Berlin and wagon repair artist Konrad Black takes things to another level. He concentrates on the clubbing side of things and builds an utterly splendid dance floor bomb. Pitching on some of the most remarkable bits and pieces, this remix gives the track a new direction, a new and exciting drive and is a perfect addition to this brilliant vinyl.
