10 years ago an up and coming DJ & Producer named Steve Bug launched a label as an output for a very special new sound.
Having already masterminded the legendary Raw Elements la- bel, and of course the strong-as-ever Dessous imprint, Bug and a close family of DJs and Producers had a vision for something fresh and exciting that would define the times. And thus Poker Flat Recordings was born...

The start of a new year marks the arrival of the sixth dedicated compilation from the world-renowned and continually expanding Poker Flat imprint. Just like the notorious ‘Dead Man’s Hand’ in a high stakes all-nighter, this double CD release is full of carefully judged mind games and more than a few winning surprises! Compared to previous Poker Flat albums, the Dead Man’s hand is taking a deeper route, reflecting the label’s latest developments.

CD 2 contains a fantastic mix presented by key label name and one half of the critically acclaimed Märtini Brös, Clé. The German DJ and Producer, who also collaborates with Steve Bug, has chosen 13 more Poker Flat past and future classics for the ‘Dead Man’s Hand’ Mix. An insistent and techy display of his mixing and track selection skills, the mix opens as it means to go on with the excellent musings of Raudive’s ‘Needles’, remixed by Steve Bug, which blends craftily into an exclusive new funk stomper by Guido Schneider and Florian Schirmacher simply en- titled ‘Organic’. Later, one of several tracks produced exclusively for this compliation, Ryo Murakami’s ‘Nightmare’ introduces a real late night element to the proceedings, which is deftly followed by a double hit of Märtini Brös, taken from Poker Flat 90.

The Brös are back on Poker Flat with their new single "From Buleaux" including a brilliant Konrad Black remix.
"From Buleaux" is a cool, snappy track with a nice bassy synth-line from below. as there are always two camps, one loves vocal songs, the other loves pure instrumental tracks, the a-side includes both, "Towards Buleaux", non-vocal version for purists out there and "From Buleaux", the vocal peppered song format. your choice.

On the b.side, Canadian citizen of Berlin and wagon repair artist Konrad Black takes things to another level. He concentrates on the clubbing side of things and builds an utterly splendid dance floor bomb. Pitching on some of the most remarkable bits and pieces, this remix gives the track a new direction, a new and exciting drive and is a perfect addition to this brilliant vinyl.

Mr. Poker Flat and Mr. 50% Märtini Brös recently stuck their heads together and produced an ep for us. "Iron Daily" on the a-side, is a track that perfectly combines the skills of the two. The result is an interesting mixture of functional dance floor thunder and stripped down old-school influences.
The b-side holds "Behind the Curtains", a fantastic opener for advanced clubbers. a metronome, a single hihat, short bass drops and some warm and epic chords begin this brilliant track, snippets of hand claps, kicks and a fleet fotted hi hat guide the track for four minutes to its final starting point to get the party started. Not to miss.
